Who We Are

Teaching from a Christian Perspective

  • We teach from a biblical creation perspective with topics relating to people and God’s creation such as animals, plants, birds, fish, & all that is part of what we see and do each day.

  • We have prayers of Thanksgiving before meals & snacks.

  • Bible songs, themes, & Bible stories with our art projects.

  • Our teachers model character qualities such as honesty, responsibility, kindness, love, respect, and teach these to the children daily.

  • We are non-denominational.

Conveniently Located

Big Steps Little Feet is centrally located in the heart of downtown Ada, providing walkability to local shops and parks for all our ages. Our convenient location allows us to take children to nearby events and activities aboard our child friendly buses. Many of these educational field trips take place during our Summer season.

We also use our buses for transportation before and after school to local elementary schools.

Our Curriculum

In our curriculum, we incorporate a Christian aspect including prayers before all our meals including breakfast, lunch, and snack. Our prayers are child friendly and easy to learn. In each classroom, we also incorporate children’s Bible stories along with activities that correlate with the story that was read. Our staff models character qualities to our children such as gratefulness, kindness, respect, and thankfulness. We also teach these character qualities in each class throughout the day.

Hours of Operation

Big Steps Little Feet hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:30AM-5:30PM. We provide a flexible schedule for both full-time and part-time families. We have a part-time minimum requirement of 3 full days per week. We also offer after school care for our school age children through age 12. For children enrolled in our Big Steps After School Program, we also provide care for snow days and school breaks.

Constantly Growing

Ada Center Information

Since the opening of Big Steps Little Feet in 1994, we have grown from one classroom to 15 classrooms in our current two-building facility. We provide care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. Our facility is divided into infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age classrooms with an open floor concept. An added benefit in our infant and toddler rooms is our in-floor heating system which helps our littles stay warm in the winter. Both of our infant classrooms have a separate sleeping room to ensure a better nap experience. Each one of our classrooms, as well as our innovative playground, have a live video feed for our parents to enjoy anytime of the day. Parents are invited to utilize this feature while at work or traveling. Our playground is 75% AstroTurf with a variety of activities to keep any child in a stimulating learning environment while in our outdoor classroom.

Mr. Rob

Owner & Founder

rob_about-1.jpg

I have been married to my wife, Annette, since 1981. We have six children and seven grandchildren. In 1994, we began Big Steps Little Feet as a concept of helping parents to find a safe and nurturing option for their children while at work. Big Steps has become a place for children to be able to learn and grow as an extension of their home. Applying Christian based values is important to us while teaching a broad spectrum of skills to the appropriate ages. We wanted to create an environment where quality care and education harmonized with fun and growth.

Big Steps Little Feet is a place where the future is born in your children. Thank you for allowing us to serve the community while inviting your child to thrive and grow.
