Kindhearted Kangaroos

A Toddler Classroom

Our Kindhearted Kangaroos program has seven toddlers ranging from approximately 24 months through approximately 36 months old. We have two consistent and nurturing staff caring for our toddlers daily.

Program Details

During their time in the Kindhearted Kangaroos classroom, they will experience a morning circle time, small group activities centered around art, colors/shapes and texture table, and an outside recess time. Before leaving our Kindhearted Kangaroos classroom, we would like the children to have a solid foundation of colors and shapes. Each child in our Kindhearted Kangaroos classroom is taking one nap a day, enjoying our nutritional menu, and learning to use utensils. Each child will be given an opportunity to be introduced to or continuing to work on potty training as well.

  • Adult to child ratio 1:4

  • Feeding, naps, and toileting are recorded daily

  • Personal cot and storage area provided

  • Parents provide an extra set of clothes, a crib sheet, and diapers

  • Comfortable shoes required

Meet our Kindhearted Kangaroos Teacher:

Ms. Jen: Lead Teacher

Hi!! My name is Heather Jurmu. I live in the Rockford area with my husband, 15-year-old son, and 12-year-old daughter.  I also have 2 dogs and 2 cats! I love to garden, can my own produce, read historical fiction, and craft with my daughter. I love traveling with my family and exploring new areas here in Michigan. I have received my Early Childhood certification, and am currently attending WGU for my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education. As a new Kindhearted Kangaroo, I cannot wait to see what adventures await!
